REPARATIONS SCHOLARSHIp 2025-2026

The Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan (JLGLM) was established in the Greater Lansing Area in 2021. The JLGLM exists to repair the damage caused by the historical harms of slavery and its aftermath. We are striving to become the Beloved Community by making the connection between faith and racial justice in the form of reparations. The Reparations Project provides 10 qualifying individuals, (which includes high school seniors, interim students, and trade school) applicants each with a $2,500 scholarship to use toward a college, university, or a vocational school of their choice.

About Our Scholarship

The JLGLM Scholarship is a direct response to historical injustices, designed to support the educational aspirations of African American students. By providing financial aid, we aim to contribute to closing the Racial Wealth Gap and correcting the underrepresentation of African Americans in higher education. This initiative is part of our broader reparations project, reflecting our dedication to fostering a Beloved Community.
