About the event

The Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan is honored to host a special luncheon featuring Dr. William Yoo, Associate Professor of American Religious and Cultural History at Columbia Theological Seminary. Dr. Yoo is renowned for his work on the transnational histories of American Protestant world missions and Korean American immigrant religious communities. His latest book, What Kind of Christianity: A History of Slavery and Anti-Black Racism in the Presbyterian Church (2022), offers a critical exploration of the complex legacies of slavery and racial injustice in American Presbyterianism.
